Although written in the fifties, it gives so many useful tips for today’s life! I’m going to proudly display it in my living room among my collection of vintage books." |

| 29th January | "With the rains pouring here like a monsoon, the postie, (dripping wet), arrived at my door this morning with your parcel, which, because it was well-wrapped, (the dripping postie commented upon this fact), meant that the contents were totally dry. It was, as always, a pleasure to sit down and unwrap the beautiful parcels. The muff is even better in the flesh than in the pictures! I slipped my hands inside to try it out for size and could just imagine a flapper girl making her way home from a dance in the winter, with that muff keeping her hands nice and warm. It is just so gorgeous! The little shoe bag is wonderful, such cheerful material to counteract a dull day and I have hung it up in my bedroom, still to decide what will go in it. The shoe stretchers are great and what a lovely colour of blue! Thank you so very much. It really has made my day!!" | ||
