Harriet (N00336)

Sorry I'm Sold

One of my unique one-of-a-kind rag dolls by the name of Harriet is waiting to find a new home. She is a calico doll, firmly filled for a quality finish and dressed in an array of vintage fabrics. I have used a length of a Scottish mohair scarf to make her cosy springtime jacket in a vivid turquoise shade. The edges are finished with a decorative running stitch, done by hand. Comes complete with the original label  and I've added a set of red glass buttons. Beneath her jacket is a pretty floral bodice made from a C19th French cotton. Her skirt is fashioned from another French floral fabric printed with roses and turquoise leaves to tone with her jacket. She has a muslin petticoat made from French curtaining, with a frilled hem for prettiness! Harriet also has a pair of lace trimmed bloomers which I have made from a Sanderson chintz with a rose bud design. Her hand painted boots are finished with cream mohair tops and faux pearl buttons. She has mossy hair tied with a muslin bow. To finish, she wears an antique lace collar tied in place. Approx: 55cm tall. Please note that she is not sold as a toy, but as a collectable for display.
Vintage trims to create a truly unique doll.
