Pretty Floral Patchwork Bag (BG04)

A sweetly feminine patchwork bag for the romantic vintage lover. I have used a section of hand embroidered linen as the centre to the front panel. It features a pretty arrangement of pastel flowers stitched entirely in tiny crosses. This is surrounded by a selection of vintage floral fabrics in coordinating colours. A French cotton lace adds interest to one of the seams. The reverse is another floral fabric, which I have also used for the two handles. The bag is lined with a layer of wadding to give body and a rose/paisley cotton. Fastens with a fabric loop and an unusual old button. I have also added a teeny vintage French corsage to the front; forget-me-not millinery flowers in summery colours fasten with a brooch pin. Measures approx: 40cm x 30cm plus handles.
