I use vintage textiles to create my handmade items, as I believe they have a faded elegance and far more character than the mass produced fabrics of today. I often use the pretty prints from eiderdowns of the 1930's to make patchwork 'boudoir bags' to hang in the bedroom or bathroom as storage. Subtle paisley prints are recycled into lampshades or pin cushions and bold rose blooms from the 1950's add vibrant colour to the range. My other 'previously enjoyed' goods recreate the look and feel of the past, such as pretty china, framed prints and floral hats or corsages of the 1940's and 1950's. They all sit happily together with my textile pieces, which I carefully and lovingly stitch to create decorative and useful items. All would make wonderful gifts or a treat for yourself at anytime!
